Valentino aka Tino/Slink – This little bully breed baby! At 2 years this little guy has endured the worse abuse. His emotional scares show deeper than any of the physical scares that can be seen. He has come full circle. He went from coming out of his crate in full fearful submission (body tight, stiff, curled on his back) to allowing his foster mommy to kiss his face. Dr Johnson said he is a sweet boy and described his current behavior as shy. He is a very loving affectionate boy who deserves the very best. Never again will he ever sustain physical abuse! Today he has begun fast kill heart worm treatment. First injection, repeat 30 days. This was expensive, but we could no longer stand by and allow the adult warms damage his heart. Dr said he has a heart murmur but that the slow kill at least was helping keep him at a low positive result.
